'Into the Woods' - CD Launch @ Jive with Blow up Betty & The New Vague
9pm $10 Entry
Tickets: www.illiciteve.com or (08) 8227 0616

INTO THE WOODS delivers an assortment of lyrically creative rock songs layered with ambient industrial textures. Rich with harmonies, roaring guitars, scissoring bass and intriguing arrangements, Illicit Eve have honed in on their strengths and defined their sound with their second release.

Kicking off with 'The Sound', a rock explosion which grabs hold of you with it's opening riff and doesn't let go, you are quickly launched into the single 'They Don't Make Boys Like They Used To' - a quirky rock tune with a dirty pop melody that channels the frustration of comparing anyone new to the one you can't get over. The album progresses through disco grunge track '11:11', to more industrial tracks, including 'The Coldest Winter' and the closing track 'Heavy Lung'.

INTO THE WOODS is full of dark twists, turns and hidden surprises just waiting to be discovered.

HELP US HIT 30,000 PROFILE VIEWS BY FEB 16TH

Well we can barely believe it ourselves, but we are about to hit 30,000 profile views on myspace! Wow, that makes us feel old, like it's our 30,000th birthday or something... But the good thing about birthdays or milestones is that you get to celebrate them, and since we are celebrating the launch of our newest CD in one month, we want to team it up with the fact we are turning 30,000 on Myspace. So we would like all of our friends to help us reach 30,000 by telling as many of your friends as possible to come check out our site. Our launch date is Feb 16th, so this means you have just over a month to help us get around 800 profile views!!

GOOD LUCK!

Well its been a long stint in the studio, but the results will speak for themselves. We are incredibly proud of this new album, which is a new and exciting direction for us. We can't wait for you all to hear it!! As I write this we are mixing our final tune 'Coldest Winter' to complete the album 'Into The Woods'. 10 tracks delivering an assortment of lyrically creative rock songs layered with ambient industrial textures. Rich with harmony, roaring guitars, scissoring bass and intriguing arrangements. INTO THE WOODS is full of dark twists, turns and hidden surprises just waiting to be discovered. We hope you all enjoy what we have created... the single 'They don't make boys like they used to', a quirky rock tune with a dirty pop melody that channels the frustration of comparing anyone new to the one you can't get over, will be uploaded to Myspace in mid January, so keep an eye out. HAPPY NEW YEAR - BRING ON AN AMAZING 2008!!

Hey friends!

Yes, as we speak I'm sitting in the studio working on our new album 'Into The Woods'… it's shaping up incredibly well for the 4th day in and we are getting very excited about our new sound!! But to give you an idea of how its coming along… Imagine you are standing on the edge of a dark forest. Above you is a full glistening moon, behind you is a wall of snarling amplifiers as ferocious as a pack of hungry wolves, in front of you… well, that's something you'll have to discover when you step into the woods… The album is being launched on February 16th @ Jive (with Blow Up Betty & more tba), and will be available in stores from Feb 18th 2008. Also, very soon you will be able to pre-order a copy of the album from the Mixmasters website which will arrive in your hot little hands at least a week before the launch date so you can know all the new songs by the time you come along to the launch. Plus there will be some special pressies for those who pre-purchase, including a once off copy of our video clip 'They Don't Make Boys Like They Used To' on dvd, not available any other way! Anyway, must get back to recording now… more updates to come!

Em xx
